No bugs moths mozzies or flys here!!!!! Bring a fishing rod if you like fishing - the BBQ's are free and well maintained here and are nicely setup in so many different locations. Easy to catch fish here for dinner! There are no mosquito's, bugs or flys here, so you can sit out at night under the BBQ awnings as well - no problems (The lights come on automatically at the BBQ's and they are covered) and so you can enjoy a nice BBQ or fish dinner over a few drinks - makes a great location to take pics of the Z's as well Makes a great day out very enjoyable!

Made some inquiries re accomodation I am looking at this one http://kororabayvillage.com.au/ They have 7x 1 bedroom with a sofa bed as well $125 per night can sleep 4 & 16x 2 bedroom which can sleep 6 $185 per night, so if anyone wants to share that is easily accomodated & would reduce your cost. It is near Big Banana but off the highway on the coastal side. I am getting more info emailed to me & have not at this stage negotiated a discount for a group booking.
My girl is from coffs and has a friend who works at Aanuka beach resort and will be able to get us a great rate, the resort is right on the beach and is also very close to the big banana and city centre, also has a bonus of secured parking. Just checked out the link, wow Had a thought would your lovely lady see what sort of deal they could put together for The restaurant Finz On The Beach for the Saturday night Either 6th Oct or 20th Oct. Depends on which weekend gets the most votes. It is currently even. What was your preferred date 5,6,7 or 19,20,21. Still waiting on replies before I will be able to set a definate date. So far 4 can do either, 3 prefer 5,6,7 & 3 for 19,20,21
Don't know if this will have any effect on prices and availability but the 5,6,7 Oct is the last weekend of school holidays and the roads will be busier for the trip home. Coffs Harbour is popular during Holidays.

Heads up for Coffs Just a heads up for all - I have stayed at nearly every motel here in Coffs. The F1 is the cheapest accomodation (as usual - but they are a bit pokey) The Bells motel is $80 per night and sleeps three The Comfort Inn (Econolodge) is ideal for groups as they can accomodate up to six in some rooms and they have a good spa there as well - the price can be negotiated with them if you offer them some honey/ or deals but dont quote me on that - we stayed in a room for $100 a night but after a deal we payed $50 a night (but it never happened - lol) If you organise groups as honey you could ask what there best prices are - you can say Jamie and Linda referred you as we stayed there for a while and they thought we were good responsible guests and we got on well with them (Might help). Sanctuary is $85 per night as stated previously and ot too bad at all Ideally June is time to come as the retro car show during the Winter sun festival and it is ideal for the Z's to rock up, the Z's are well liked here and it is not uncommon to find a crowd hanging around your Z checking it out. They would be well recieved at this event. The forum as a whole should consider having a major event here next year whilst this event is on. Truy awesome event. The World rally championship happens here in September and is a world class event - Great to see them hitting high speed in the mud For October the The Global carnival is on at bellingen There is some things to do here for those interested besides checking out the awesome scenery: F1 Karting is popular There is Sedgeway riding There is a lolly factory with tours daily Big Banana sells everything Banana's like ice creams etc There are markets every weekend National Marine Science Centre Aquarium Dolphin Rides at the Dolphin Park Jetty Dives are just some of things one can do We should definately cruise Marina and the Jetty area as well as in town during the weekend days as the Z's will attract a lot of attention in these areas!!!!! I guarantee the crowds will roll in - I should tell the local rado station about us being here! They are also awesome spots to have a BBQ as well as at Ocean Parade BBQ area as it is just across the Beach where the lifesavers are (if anyone wants a swim). The Marina is one of the best places to go fishing, the trawlers dump there fish waste when coming in and it attracts huge numbers of fish - good size - it is easy to catch dinner there very quickly and the BBQ's are not far away There are lots of restaurants here that are highly regarded but the one at the Marina is very highly regarded and in an absolutely awesome location! The produce is as fresh as it gets because the markets and trawlers are less than 200 feet away from them.
