Hi all , had some great responses to my other wheels thread so thought I would expand on my new theme for my car. Basically below is one of my favourite cars - 911 - Now I can't afford this - but I can turn my baby into something nearly as classy and similar euro tuner theme not total rice lol :zlove:

Anyway - I will vinyl wrap the car in Gloss white with Satin Black and Carbon Fibre accents as per the porsche colour scheme pics below. It won't be over the top but it will be unique and I think I can have this all done with 6 months :)

SO - using this bumper from carmate, hope they still have it, this will preserve the nice lines of the zed front, is different to 2000 spec, great for my large MOFO SMICS , and uses smaller MR2 lights (kind of similar to some of the porsche lights ?)

I will put LED DRLs into the MR2 lights to make it look more modern.

The Border style (MR2 Border ) bumper is more aggressive then stock , I have photochopped it on as well for an approx hard to see look on the white zed.

Combine with Kaminari skirts, stock rear bar and WinFactory rear wing and some race look wheels in a darker colour, Varrstoens or similar.

I also really like these Buddy Club P2s in total Gunmetal or Silver. Satin or Gloss Black powdercoat would look good against a crisp white body.

Apparantly P2s are only marginally heavier then stock wheels which is a bonus when comparing them.

So anyway, thanks for reading , might be worthy of a semi build thread when its all done :D

beware trying to turn any car you modify into something it's not

    it's not a high-end euro, it's a 90's turbo import

enhance what it is and it will be appreciated by most, try to make it something it's not and you will be admonished by all.

Vinyl wrap is not a good way to go . Especially when you have referenced a 911 as your inspiration .

Save your money and get a good paintjob :zlove:

Otherwise like your choice of skirts and rear bumper . Jury still out on the front till I see it in real life :)

    mr zed x chassis scrubbin..

    yeahhhhhh nah sorry man
it will come out looking like a piece of shit. satin always looks good for a day then turns to arse. i like your ideas, but you cant polish a turd. keep it jap, or sell up and buy a euro car..

front bar is iffy, carmate normally create moulds from dead baby carcass's so id go 2k or something more OEM, rest of the car sounds legit.

patrick fallon bow down before me!

. dude i agree with mrzedx. it wont be pretty. i play nfs prostreet on the pc and have tried it on a 240sx (tried making an rx7), IT DONT WORK! but hey anything is possible in the virtual world. if you want vinyle or paintjob ideas go for the tribals, love em! if i were you i'd customise the car to the look of the car itself. pm me a pic of your zed and i'll see what i can do. cant promise you will like what you see.
bit of advice. KEEP IT REAL, KEEP IT ZED and KEEP IT FRESH!!!

think you guys are missing somehitng.. the car is gloss white via decent paint with sat black accents, not the whole car sat black.

well thtas how i read it and would do it... I do like the styling as in black + white done in a clean look.

Like your ideas bud, but do it right the first time ;) go with a proper paint job and use an existing bumper, 96% of custom diy body work never looks right unfortunately!

Stick to it though! Z32's have a sort of class that only euros could dream of ;) not sure how you would get them to look like they were ment to be there but day time running lights could look good and give it a modern look.

I find that the best street modified cars always look best if the modifications look like they could be factory ;)

I have that front bar havent fitted it yet. i dont like how it gets all square at the bottom and hangs down so far infront of the front wheels :/

Very true re the squared off part of the bumper in front of the radiator, my plan was to have the middle part of the intake done in black.

What is the quality of the bar like? Does it come down quite a bit at the front?
