Looks like its coming from the pipe/hose area?

    Checked oil = fine
    Checked coolant = fine

Looks like coolant leak on a high temperature.
Open up the hose and check the condition of it.

Ill do that when I get home. FYI, coolant level has not dropped

Coolant leak. The water has evaporated leaving all that gunk you see there. Check your hose clamp's done up tight as it might be weeping, or you may have a break in the hose.

Coolant level will not drop as it will keep sucking it out of the reserve bottle until dry. And for a leak like that it's probably not loosing much coolant...yet.

splatter pattern 101 (CSI) indicated the hose or further inside the two smaller hoses that connect from the main water pipes to the block.
Keep a close eye on the temp guage now you are aware of this.
Might be time for some coolant hose replacments.

yep , picking the hoses up tonight. Temp has been fine, sitting at the usual needle position, and have not felt any changes to running condition/hotter temps in cabin/engine bay at all.

ECUtalk is in the post, so should be able to keep a closer eye on it.

Nissan will probably charge you lots, from memory autobarn had both hoses for $110 for gates, and supercheap had both for $50 total and those were Mckay.

Those were for an na though.

in that case, it would probably be more than $50. I looked some up when I needed, the bottom hose was over $50 to start with.

Well I bought my gates hoses from autobarn, so maybe its just yours that doesn't stock them?

Frysie it might help to call your local one too, rather than go by the site, cause I remember the Mckay being much cheaper than the gates.
