There seems to be many threads on this stuff, but I couldnt find any in particular that addressed my questions.

I have a H3C type bulb on low beam (jap spec).

Is there a particular type that I can get that would suit the fitting.
    i.e. Can I get a H3C HID Bulb?

I noticed that pex's thread on HID had the lights removed and I am wondering if I can avoid removing the lights by getting bulbs that will just slot in without needing to remove the lights .i.e. H3C HID's or maybe even another type of H3 that would slot straight in.

I plan to remove my lights eventually and do lots of stuff but hoping to avoid that at the moment as I have heaps to do in the meantime.

    Thanks for taking the time
    Cheers Jamie for Misszen

The only difference between H3 and H3C is that the H3C has 2 power connectors while the H3 has one plus a ground cable off the light socket in the headlight.

You can modify the J-spec lights very easily by adding the ground cable, but that is not needed for the HID's

The only lights I had to physically remove to fit HIDs were the fog lights.

Low beam (H3) and High beam (H1) in the main headlight unit are all done with the light assembly in the car.

I thought I could get H3C's - they are just rarer to find but if you have them, then I can get them obviously - cheers

If H3's go straight in as stated than I am happy to settle for them as well
thanks all for straightening me out on this issue of HID's

H3's are the correct HID fitments(it is only with stock bulbs that the H3C comes into play). All HID's that I am familiar with, have plastic bodies/locating collars and this would make "earthing" through the locating collar very difficult(unlike the stock globe).:zlove:
