Ok so first off, I know this is the wrong section as it is not Z related i just sold my zx and got a subaru but have hit an issue and hoping somone could help me out as I found everyone on this forum very kind and helping So i was driving the wrx today and noticed the boost was dropping after it built up while i was still on the gas... Later that night I was merging onto a highway and gave it a good punt... Then all of a sudden it just felt like it died :/ I pulled over and the wrx was idling at 100 rpm and eventually i decided to try and get it home which i did... If i went over 2000 RPM it would just like jerk along and feel as if it was going to stall :/ so i would be in 5th gear at like 55 as it felt alright between 1000-2000 Hoping somone can give me an idea of whats wrong
Last night i couldnt check anything as it was pitch black and had no light. But im about to go out and check it now. Seemed like a boost leak at first before that happned as the pressure was at 1.5 bars then would only boost to 1 bar then drop while i was on the gas still. Would a massive boost leak cause the car to do what its doing? Thanks for replying too
Exact same thing happened to my friend's evo when his BOV came loose. Rehooked it up and it was running great again.
Cant see anything loose but shits everywhere couldnt do a full check. Its blowing some black smoke and is holding idle a bit better this morning but its cold and i can hear a whistling noise but sounds like a belt but it isnt coming from a belt so eh?
Cars fixed was loose intake bike bad clamp and might get the pipes beeded or somthing. Cheers for the help! <3
