Hey guys. Got a flat battery the other day and turns out the brake lights are staying on. Found a small light green knobbed washer type thing on the carpet so I reckon thats probably the culprit. Any ideas where this bit comes from. Not much room down there to check things out.

G'day Briza, yes that's your culprit alright it's a stopper under your brake pedal, about 6 bucks at Nissan and a bit of fiddling around to refit it. Or if you have a few nuts and bolts laying around and a decent glue gun, you can wiggle yourself under the dash, loosen up the pedal and bits and fit in a nut and bolt and make sure you have put a dollop of heated glue on top of the bolt, no more problems.

Have checked the manual and doesnt seem to make any mention of it except a rubber washer on the end of the clevis pin. Is this the one. Im 6 ft 1 so not so easy to get a good look down there

Basically yes it is, it's a green hard rubber/plastic looks like a odd shaped donut. It is tricky but it can be replaced, just a lot of twisting and wiggling to get under far enough to see the pedal and the spot where you can screw in a nut and bolt. I think for memory there is an article about this in the tech section.

All I used was a inner splash guard clip. I super glued the centre pin to make sure it didn't push in, then super glued it to the brake pedal arm, where the the little green piece of crap came from. Problem fixed.
