Yeah, no...that just looks wrong. no idea how much it weights up front, but from my mind, that looks like understeer central

didnt realise nissan had got onboard, but for those of you new to the DeltaWing, this was a concept considered for the new IndyCar racing series. It's also firming for a shot at lemans, which it will be highly suited to. the concept is obvious - reduce frontal area to allow high speed racing with much less power. Also, by enclosing the wheels drag goes down, as does the risk of interlocking wheels leading to airborn racecars (Dan Wheeldon rest in peace). Obvisously it's a great departure, and a bit challenging for fans to come to grips with. I think some parts of the concept will be found in open wheel racing in years to come. just look at the 2012 indycars, large amounts of wheel fairings and downsized engines. with regards understeer, according to the developers it's not a problem. of course they'd say that but lap times tell the whole story. maybe it's bloody quick on the straights to make up time, or perhaps the kinematics of that suspension design actually do work well. plus it's extremely light http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wlQAvEfmeI&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs_wnHNbVCA seems to turn pretty well! onboard *looks* like he misses every apex, but that's cause its got a big fat ass, and actually clips them fairly well im just glad to see something different getting built!!!
