I was wondering what kind of mileage i should be getting outta my car, and what everyone else is getting and what fuel they use.

    driving a 93 N/A manuel and getting about 500km to a tank.
also decided to switch to BP's premium unleaded 95 octane fuel.

main reason im asking this now is because in the coming months i plan on making frequent trips to Adelaide which is about 5 hours drive where i am.

It irritated me that there was only 1 98octane pump at the BP on Commercial St.
Preferably you'd want to get 98 (which is what they're tuned for), but you won't see too many issues running 95.

If you're getting 500km from a tank just driving around the Mount, you'll make it to Adelaide in 1 full tank easy. I usually get 350-400 driving around town, and I got ~500 from a tank driving to the Mount a while ago.

(One thing to remember when calculating L/100KM is that by increasing the rolling diameter of the wheels/tyres you are effectively skewing the speed/distance reading that your odometer shows by x%)

i probably should of also mentioned that its not just town driving i do, i do alot of country driving cos i live at mt schank which is about 20mins outta town.

thanks for the calculation, think i will be fine driving up there.

also got a friend who drives a high performance skyline and hes taken alot of care of it. onley place he fills up in town is the 98 octane at BP, also puts octane booster in his car. i only just recently learned how shit our regular fuel is compared to japans.

The 2+2 has a capacity of 72 litres. Last month while open road cruising at a constant 120k/ph I used 47 litres for 414 km's, which is around 11.5ltrs/100km's, whereas the link below states that I should have only been using 10.5 litres at that speed.

Check out more of the tech stuff at this link: http://www.zshop.net.au/Z32tech.htm

I'm not sure if the capacity is different for 2+0?

    When you say 'a tank'

how much are you refilling in the refuel? 65L? 70L?

I remember my NA zed got 575km around town to 65-68L refills. Another important thing to note is that the 'town' was Canberra during off peak times. This figure would be substantially less if it were at inner Sydney peak times :)

I'm sure I could of got 600 before actually running empty.

Best economy I've got was 8.4L/100km, all highway driving from Rocky to Gold coast, in my 91 5sp aus spec with windows up, cruise and aircon on.

If I go home for the weekend I can do Mackay - Rocky and back just on a tank. Averaging about 9.4L/100km. That's with windows down, cruise on, and a lightweight flywheel (I recon this figure would improve significantly with a stock flywheel though)
