Shannons 15K = $500 PA, tell them your mods etc, no worries. I know some other Zders who have had no probs with claims through Shannons. Easy going good company:thumbup:

nice one, 10 years ago, it took Justcars a lot of convincing to 'agree' to value a 1990 Aus spec, totally standard, for $17,500! (purchase price at $24K which was standard at the time for a mint condition zed). Oh and a $4800 premium. The year after after a bodykit and exhaust and 20% no claim bonus, they wanted to drop the agreed price to $15000 and increase the premium to $5200ish. Suffice to say I only went 3rd party property after that!! (10x cheaper)

I was only 20-21 at the time, but clearly I was stereotyped and judged as some sleazy hoon. Probably one to always speed, run red lights, lead high speed police chases etc. Being a male (which I cant exactly help and not my fault!) also whacked an extra 10% to the premium. Somehow having an organ on the exterior poses an increased risk to them :) Add to all that the ridiculous excess fees (especially the one due to age) and I was looking at nearly $2K to make a claim! No one is given the benefit of the doubt.

Car insurance is all about age/gender discrimination!!!!!!! :)

Called up to confirm insurance today.

They had me down for a z31 targa aus delivered instead of the z32 tt targa.

Insurance went from 1240 --> 1040/year with rating one protection with an agreed for 13k.

    Happy times :D

Its so odd... I guess its easier to source parts on the z32 then z31. Only reason why I would see it being cheaper. I was shocked as well lol.

I have laid up cover (project cover)on my 240Z and 300ZX , together it costs around $50 a month for 10k a piece coverage, sure its not a lot but its better then nothing.

Also have house and contents thats around $90 or something with the discounts form having 4 policy's with them.

That covers up to 10k for tools and misc gear that only I know the value of, no questions asked as well ofcourse all my shit in the house.
