I have a set of white on black personalised plates for a 300 Z for sale.

    OZX-032

I now own a 350Z so the 032 is not suitable for it.

The front is a slimline and the rear is standard size.

If you are interested in purchasing make me an offer around $200 and you will own them. The plates are in Very Good Condition.
I can email photos if required. PM me please.

You will have to pay Qld Dept of Transport a transfer fee/tax to have them in your name.

id personally check with dept of transport as to whether or not you can sell the plates.
I own the set OZX-320 in black and white, and they cannot be sold.
Only way of selling them is on the car that they are registered to. You as the personal owner are allowed to transfer them between your own vehicles, but are not allowed to sell them separetely.

Hmmm, that would suck if true, maybe they've changed the rules? From the ppq.com.au website FAQ section:

Your personalised plates are yours for life. Should you ever wish to transfer the ownership of your plates, you and the acquirer will need to complete a Transfer of Ownership form and pay a modest fee, at your nearest Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre or Agency.

There are various ways you can sell your personalised plates privately. PPQ.COM.AU's Resale Noticeboard is one of those options, and for three months you can list your plate for $30. We invite you to visit the Noticeboard to view current listings and you can also sign up to begin your application there.

Privately buying or selling a personalised plate requires the completion and lodgement of a Transfer of Ownership form, which can be downloaded here. Lodging a Transfer of Ownership form attracts a modest fee and requires signatures of both the seller and buyer. Transfer of ownership applications can only be processed at Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centres or Agencies.

PPQ brought a range of B&W Plates. Starting with the letters N,O or P, followed by 3 numbers. When they first came out, rather than buy the normal PPQ Plates of 3 letters and 2 Numbers in multiple plate colours etc for $375, these were offered for $250..... hence the influx of NOS or PSI plates that you'd see.

If you do not sell them on a car or have another car in your name to transfer them into, you have the option to surrender them back to PPQ, with no compensation.

Went through this ordeal with my PPQ B&W Plates OZX-320 that were initially fitted to my TT slicktop. When I went to put them on the 2+2 I gave to my mother, I wasnt able to for those reasons. Wasnt even able to transfer them into a relative's name

That's........................ weird! If the ACCC actually did anything, might be worth talking to them about it, doesn't seem right they can smack that clause on certain property that you've paid for and own outright. What happens if you die - they have to be destroyed???

EDIT: Michael - don't die just to prove a point and test the theory.

personally, was something i accepted when i opted for the lower cost personalised plates. Hence why they are ONLY available in the black and white variation, and not the colourful "tropical queensland".

To the op, would highly recommend you investigate the validity to this claim, because know that as of December 2011, I was unable to sell mine.

My plates do not have to be attached to any car to be sold. They belong to me....that is why that are sitting in the cupboard.
The facts are that I can sell them but the purchaser has to pay Qld transport a fee to transfer the ownership to their name. A fairly simple process of completing a form and paying them money. I have sold other PPQ plates the same way.

If no one is interested in them by Friday this week,I will put them on my 350 convertible and at least they will be in use.

STRONGLY recommend seller contact PPQ. Your plate combination, like mine, is CUSTOMISED, NOT PERSONALISED. You cannot sell, transfer ownership of nor fit your plates to a car that is not registered in your name.

For a modest $199 fee, the owner can PERSONALISE his plate combination, which then allows him to change colour of the plate if he wishes, and be able to sell them.
