When i change gear, there about a second of reving up til the refs come down and matches road speed! Does this mean my cluth is on the way out? How much am i looking at for a replacement clutch? Or can it be repaired?

easiest way to find out is dump your clutch at 3500rpm to 4000rpm if your wheels squeel then your cluch is ok if it slips like crazy and you go no where your clutch is shagged

Your clutch might be worn or Oil had got into the clutch somehow. Most likely clutch is on its way out, keep driveing it nicely, and start looking for a clutch kit.. My guess would be about $500 for kit and $500 for labour ( if u dont change it yourself).

Yeah don't do this, when my clutch was slipping it would still chirp the tyres a bit if dumped. Put it on 4th gear around 60kph and flatted the accelerator, if the revs shoot up really high and road speed stays the same your clutch is buggered. Not the end of the world though, i drove for 6 months on a slipping clutch.

If its slow to engage but doesn't slip again once engaged even with heavy acceleration then much more likely to be an issue with the hydraulics or something dragging on the lever or throw-out bearing. It could even just be pedal adjustment is out although would probably indicate a leak.

Fix for the short term is just wait 1-2 seconds after releasing the clutch before resuming acceleration, this will prevent extra clutch face ware until you can diagnose/fix
