Hey peeps today or tomorrow is the day im changing my coil packs. Now is this a DIY job or is it hard? Anyone in Melbourne able to do them or assis me with this kinda need my car running well by wednesday.
Mate, unclip connector, undo two bolts with socket and gently pull up to remove. Reverse order with new coil. Do one at a time and you will be right. Back two can be little tricky for beginners, just see what needs removing to acces the coils, and replace when done
Thanks guys foe the fast responses. Now i know im going to be draining with this but is anyone able to provide a video or step by step instructions with pictures on how to do it. Like i get the general jist of what to do but like i wanna be sure because im not mega confident in doing this lol all ive done to my car is put in internal lights my sparkplugs and my head lights so yeah not heaps confident
If you done spark plugs then you would have removed coil packs to do so. Mate it's as easy as described, do the front one first to see how easy it is and you will be fine
Just make sure you reseal the balance tube properly when you put it back on after removing it to replace the 2 rear coil packs. There are 3 o'rings on one side and two on the other. Use new o'rings or engine sealant. The coil pack long lead part has a little spring then carbon piece at plug end in the hole , make sure there is one of each in each one ( the long bit that goes down on the spark plug end ). Also check / clean all the coil pack and injector connectors while you are at it. Dirty connectors make Zeds run like crap as do leaking balance tubes. It is a piss easy job as long as you use common sense ( i know common sense ain't common ) YOU CAN DO IT. Cheers Dave
Return Airfares Accomodation, a few beers and a feed and i'll come down and do it for you. Easy as, just watch you dont drop the rubber o-rings into the plenum.
Thanks for all the help n support guys ill keep yous posted if i need a hand but ill see how it goes. At this stage ill probably be doing it wednesday so yeah.
