Just had new tyres put on the Zed. These are my camber measurements after alignment:

    Front Left : -2.21
    Front Right: -2.11

    Rear Left: -0.52
    Rear Right: -0.5

The guy said that there is no adjustment in the front camber which I already new, so I can only assume that the larger rims and tyres have affected the camber or the front springs have sagged a little with age.

So is that too much camber for the front?? Idealy I would want it at around -1.5, but I'm assuming -2 (approx) is still ok??

He did mention that I could get a spacer Kit to space out the front arms. Anyone know where I can get these from? I'm trying to avoid getting front adjustable camber arms and lower tension rods, as I would like to stick with the stock setup as much as possible. I had adjustable arms for my NA, and while a I liked them (Powertrix arms) they would sometimes creak and make wierd noises.

    Cheers

Not ideal settings for a street car, especially with wider rims.

You can get the spacers here --> Clicky Of you can just make a set up out of plate steel or ally, all your doing is spacing the bracket out slightly, you will of course need longer bolts as well.

i was running -2 at the front, no problems at all with tyre wear. i dont like the thought of spacers as they added a weak point IMO where something could fail...hope that helps

bit too much camber at the front if all you will be using the car for is daily driving... you'd prob want around the -1 to -1.5 for a daily... if you tend to do spirited drives etc about -2 degrees is good.

    Ok, so.....

once I have these spacers installed behind the bracket, is the tyre technician man actually able to adjust anything??? Or am I just adding an extra degree to the current camber settings by adding the spacers behind the bracket?

    Cheers

Exactly. The width of the spacer reduces the camber. Wider spacer, less camber.

    Get it rechecked??

So once the spacers are on, do I bother getting the alignment done again??

im gathering there is no formual for spacer size vs camber as there are too many variables and its more trial and error? i am going to use this method too as my bearing adjustable arms are crap (binned) and wont use a bearing arm again on a street car

they won't be able to align anything. Only do it if you want to know what your new camber specs are ;)

YEs, cause changing the camber will change the toe in. It will need to be reset.

Your only weakness with spacers are the bolts, use the right ones and it's as strong as stock.
