last week my right head light stopped working, then today both head lights stopped working and when I switch the light switch on, it only turns the high beams on, and the exterior lights, brake lights etc don't work anymore.

The interior dash lights, transmission lights etc don't come on either anymore, only the roof interior lights can be switched on.

Any1 know what is happening here?

the fuses are near the accelerator pedal, behind a plastic cover

yeah the fuses from the hazard lamps, and clear lens headlights were blown, replaced them now all the interior and exterior lights work, but the left headlight is still not working.

Put a volt meter over that circuit. There may be a cooked wire. Earthing out somewhere, hence blowing the fuses and associated lights.

Is the connector in good condition? It hasnt melted at all?

Check this lot of wiring thoroughly, else you may end up having the same issue.

Also check the engine bay fuses - My headlights started doing odd things, like highs stuck on or would work ok with highs but not lows, and one of the fuses was blown in the engine bay..

It could simply be that the headlight has blown a globe...worth checking the obvious before looking for more complicated faults.

Its possible the new globe was faulty and blew out again. But i for one would assume the OP would have checked that again. After fixing them all up and realising one was still not working.

make sure you dont touch the globe glass with your skin as this will make them blow very quickly!

If you can obtain H3C globes, then it is a straight forward swap.

But I'd recommend swapping to H3 wiring as per your link as H3 globes are more readily available than H3C globes (ie unless you carry spare H3C globes, pretty much every service station carries H3 globes). As things pan out, you usually only discover headlights are faulty at night - ie out of business hours...

    My Bad :p

Teach me to just skim over posts!

Other thing is if you go for the +50 philips or similar headlights (white), you can't match them in h3c's real conveniently..

Which one of these relates to the dash lights? My dash lights have decided to stop working, all other interior electrics ie radio, lights (interior/exterior/hazard) pillar gauges, cigarette lighter etc work fine and light up as per normal when i turn my lights on. I thought it would be the Meter fuse at first but that looks fine, so i looked through the rest but still couldnt put my finger on what controls the dash lights... The dash gauges themselves work - its just the lights dont light up when I turn my headlights on.

Would it be the lights themselves needing to be replaced under the dash?

Ive checked the brightness controls before anyone asks....

I thought dash lights were on the low beam fuse.

Looks fine, replaced it with a new one - still have the same problem and the new one came out fine too. My headlights, tail lights and parkers work fine and from what ive seen in other threads a blown clearance ilumination fuse should take them out of action too?

So I'm guessing its not the clearance ilumination:confused:
