    Hey Watto,

That sucks about your Z. I never like getting other people to do the work, you don't always know what you're paying for. I hope the issue can be resolved quickly.

Do you mind telling me where you had the work done? There are NO places in Hobart that know the Z32 very well.

The car got rebuilt at southside performance in ulverstone.
I've recently found from several other people that they have blown motors before from poor workmanship & poor dyno tuning. Wish I had known that before. The only reason I took it there is because they said they had rebuilt a few 300zx's before & they said they knew what they were doing.

Apparently one of my mates got his gtr dyno'd there & left the workshop running on a 15 air fuel ratio. Lasted about 1 week & detonated the engine. Snapped a conrod & put a piston through the head. Never seen a single dollar from them towards the repair bill.

I'm not trying to bad mouth the workshop but it seems like they have stuffed almost every car that they work on.
Hope my story has a happier ending.

Doesn't sound good, hopefully you won't get burnt.

I assumed you were from down south, as I saw your Z in my street a while back.

if your zed left the shed no oil or coolant very bad for the mechanic.

If this is the case I would say this pretty much proves there is no oil in the engine. I have a busted engine sitting in my shed on a stand, no sump, no cam covers on it and all fluids drained 6 months ago and there is still oil clinging to the cams and such, no way the oil could have drained completely off everything in the top of your engine in a few days, it's carefully formutated to stick to engine bits to keep everything lubricated on start up.
