    hi people
Ive heard the nissan patrol ac dryer unit from a Nissan Patrol GQ/RX Y60 is the same as a t/t one ,not sure if this is correct

    Anyhow my question is
Are the a/c dryer unit and a/c condensor 300zx specific,or is there another model we can buy that are a factory replacement

Mine are both missing and im looking at replacing them for summer, not sure whether to get genuine from coz or if there is aftermarket replacements for these items from other models available

If anyone has replaced these,id be interested in what and where you purchased them

    parts in question are

    I did this

I replaced my condensor and receiver dryer as part of a rebuild (yet to be finished) i got the condensor and receiver dryer from z1 as it was alot cheaper than a unit from coz.

Also when changing it over you will probably want to change the orings (there are alot) the orings that are used for R12 and R134a are different, so if you intend on using R134a as your refridgerant make sure you get the correct o rings. You can get a box of various saize orings (kit) from repco.

The only other difference will then be the thermal expansion unit (which lives under the dash, its attached to the evaporator) you dont need to change it the one in older zeds are for R12 and newer cars have R134a units, the R12 unit will work with R134a but there are differences. I was luck enough to get a late model evaporator/thermal expansion box from a 1997 NA, which is also being swapped over

I had a dryer supplied which didn't fit. The threads were both M12. The correct one which I think also fits a Patrol has M12 and M16 threads.

Also the correct O-rings are compacted nitrile and are green in colour. These can be obtained from an A/C shop or Seal supplier
