    I don't like them.

They're just "tuner look" side steps rather than a full side skirt. Also since they are curved in the middle, that's not a nice look.

Remember you need Kaminari sides to use these and they are already pretty expensive. Personally I think Kaminari sides are too clean to be ruined with side steps and all the Zs on 3ZC look alike these days.

Not dissing the cars of course, they all look nice and but doesn't change the fact they all look the same with the same tuner look bits tacked on. Even the super clean ones like nismokid's car is now just another stanced car with diffusers, carbon lip spoilers and fake wheels. *yawn*

same here, i thought that i was the odd one out .... i just cannot see these adding anything to a Zed, simply an unnecessary and aesthetically questionable add on ...

Thanks for the comments! We are looking to have our new products available in Australia and the US almost at the same time, so you won't have to wait much longer.

Thanks! We're not done with this Z yet ;)

The side skirts get attached with 7 tekscrews/bolts per side, so you can say they are pretty solid if the Kaminari side skirts have been attached correctly...You can also use Sika/3M silicon for extra support.

RX7's have had this kind of side skirts for years already with zero problems and they get attached the same way as ours.

We are estimating to have this product with an MSRP of US$339, depending on the volume we get.

You don't need to...As we said on the original post, we are also making the same style of side skirts for the STOCK SIDES.

We have tried our prototypes on stock sides and they look just as good as with Kaminari sides.

Making them one piece would mean that we have to copy a Kaminari product with just a variant and sell it as our full design and that's not what we do.

Also, the idea of this product is to be an ADD-ON piece which have been the latest tendence in design on top end sport cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Corvettes, etc.

But more importantly, when will we be seeing the spoiler in Aus :D

Depends on how you want to look at them...

From what you said, it seems like you just see side steps under a side skirt that you never thought could have something added under it.

For Ferrari, Lamborghini and other car brand designers (who inspired us to get this product done) is an important detail to be included on the exterior package to upgrade the standard model to a top version model...For example:

Our side skirts are just an important part of a complete package we are developing to upgrade the 20+ year old Nissan 300ZX.

Not really, all you would of had to do is design your own, not copy someone else's, and add theses onto the bottom, you could of still gone the ADDon look even with your own sideskirts.

this would also eliminate the need to buy kaminari sides.

The other problem is, with people who want your product, who already have side skirts, they will have to do one of 2 things, go kaminari or go back to stock to fit.

i feel you are missing out on a large portion of business by limiting those who can have them.

Might be worth having a look into your own design for sides.

Designing new side skirts is on the plans for sure, but we have many priorities before even start thinking about them...For now we are offering this option for the Kaminaris and the option for the stock sides.

We wish we could make an option for the Stillen Type III and other known models, but sadly we don't have those side skirts or others in the whole country just to try them out and make a direct bolt-on version. Anyway, our Type I or II side skirts can be easily customized to fit under any side skirts available, so it would be just a matter of making them fit.

Fair point!.......but all your examples of the higher end models cars also have a complimentary variation to the lower front bumpers as well to help co-ordinate the overall upgrade to the exterior appearance?

Don't get me wrong I think with your rear bumper & these additional skirtings you are definitely on the right track!

So what do you have planned for the front? ;)

    Sorry twinz,

I didn't see the part about it working without the skirts. Definitely makes these more appealing!

Hopefully just a similar skirt that fits on the 2k front. That would be shmick!

I think that's a pretty good and conclusive answer to the sceptics...if you don't like it, that's fine but if you were wondering why...well thats why :p

I think it looks great, a definite improvement over the clean stock look to bring it back somewhat to the 21st century....if I were to get a Z, this is the look I would be going for, along with a 2K front bar with hopefully a twin Z addon lip for it as well as previously mentioned by Altari.

Keep up the great work!...I must say though, that at US$339 for addons to already expensive side skirts you won't be getting a real lot of sales here in AUS as that's just plain exorbitant in my opinion!...do they already come painted or base coated for that price, postage included? I would expect around the $100-120 mark max per addon, per skirt for the basic product and even then it still sounds pricey.

    Cheers,

    Craig

We have a couple of new front bumper designs on the works and they will be offered with the option of an aditional lower lip to complement the sides.

Also, we will be designing a lower lip for the j-spec bumper to offer it at the same time as our front bumpers.

If j-spec means 2k front bumper, I approve!

The big, important difference here though is that on all those cars that you've mentioned where you've referred to it as an important detail, it is actually not a detail at all: It is a functional part of an underbody airflow management setup.

On the ones for the zed its a cosmetic thing only and meant to look like something that it isn't.

So it's fake. Like fake boobs it isn't necessarily all bad, but it's fake.
