Hi All After a year and a bit I am finally putting the finishing touches to engine freshen up and would like some assistance with a few questions. I plan to put the engine in from above and then the gearbox after. Engine has flywheel still off. I need to know if it will go back in with P/S pump and alternator already fitted to the block. I have removed and tidyed up the loom for trans and alternator and fitted it to the alternator etc. Under the bonnet the Intercoolers A/C condensor and pump are all still in place. Will the P/S pump clear the intercooler pipes ? Are ther any tricks I should keep in mind? Many Thanks. Yes I have studied many posts but I am still anable to find the answers.
Agreed leave accessories on motor will go in easy enough. Two people either side of motor to watch and give a push in right direction and you will be fine.
Thanks, I was hoping this was the case. when removing the engine I remember removing all these bits and thinking it would somehow make the job of removing the engine easier ! What is the easiest way to reconnect the bellows type intercooler pipes that have zero clearance to get a hand in ?
