Finally!!! took a alot of heartache, time & patience, but it looks like it's paid of in the end - hope you can finally enjoy driving her again mate - well done.
At least you have some nice new injectors, the old ones weren't bad after all. I was careful to put the coilpacks back in the same cylinders, but in hindsight, should have switched them around and watched the symptoms switch cylinders. Are there any burn marks on the bracket or plenum from it arcing out?
Thanks, and now I spare set of injectors Cant wait to get the new coil pack and drive her while she's running great again. Pity I didn't find it a little earlier, I wanted to go on the Charity cruise that was on today. Oh well maybe I'll make it to the next cruise.
...or maybe enough for 5 out of 6 firing events or so. Good spotting on that one. I've heard of the coilpacks arcing out before, but didn't even occur to me to give them a second look during removal / refit.
Yeah I'm with you Chrispy...I take my frustration out under the bonnet, probably not the best image to give guys looking for handy hints. Use of chissels, prybars, and little sledge hammers should only be used by seasoned professionals
Well you two can continue to work alone. Many hands make light work. Mind you, it seems these two are confused with what the gaskets are for
There's 2 creepers in the pic, and one out of frame, masturbating furiously in the corner. Pretty sure you can see the reflection in the door
