According to the caption on the 2nd pic, the bent guardrail is where he launched from... incredible he survived! The vehicle crashed through the railing (top left of picture) before landing on the other side of the river.

 

LOL hollywood would pay for footage like that. Hell it'll make the next FnF movie easy.

I'm struggling to imagine how he even managed to launch it that high. It obviously was already in the air and a wheel or part of the body just caught the railing to bend it "slightly" like that.

Here's a google earth view heading north, he was probably riding the armco like a mono rail after running out of grip and or talent coming around the preceding bend at 180k's 2 cars a breast, then clipped the top of the post kinking the railing in then it flicked back.

Got to say, the other guy stopping and sorting out the fire may of saved his life, but he is going to get his arse kicked for sure, many would of kept going.
