Has anyone else had a problem with the air con system?? ok so i think the problem is the divertor it only lets hot air in from the engine and if i turn my a/c on nothing happens, I've had an air con specialist work on it but he didn't get it working and ideas guys??
Very common for the mode door actuators to stuff up. Pretty big job to change them, and can be hard to find ones in good nick. Sometimes it's just dirty tracks within the actuator, so pull them to bits and give them a clean first.
I thought it it would be a whole dash job or it maybe just the side panel/buttons ive been to some wreckers to find the bit but they have all been taken i though it might be a common problem among the z32
It will be the AIR MIX DOOR servos x 2 which control heated and fresh air mixing and also control the heater tap. The MODE door directs air around to the different vents ans is controlled by a 5 wire servo. The air mix servos are simple 2 wire non-proportional servos and can be gotten to from the passengers footwell. Located on the front lower left corner of the heater box. They are a total arse to get out with the heater box in place. I have mine almost out but Im not too sure if ill be able to replace them without pulling the heatercase out. Shall see soon. L8r E
