after all my zed ownership without a booster I can't wait to put one back on. its okay most times but going through peak hour traffic is so horrible the car is basically undrivable! exedy 5 puck button..
My TT has an exedy clutch with the booster hooked up and it's heavy but a good heavy. I couldn't imagine driving it without one. I drove a Lamborghini Countach once and whilst I don't know about the booster setup or whatever in it, I do know that the clutch was so heavy it was almost an on/off switch. Slipping it to drive in traffic was all but impossible.
NA's don't have a booster and they are not heavy. Is there a difference it the diameter of the TT/NA master cylinders ?
NAs Pressure Plate doesn't need to hold multiple hundreds of KWs therefore can be softer which mostly negates the need for a booster to begin with. MoulaZX
Ok now the conversion is done I decided to go with no clutch booster but I cant seem to find the wires for the reverse lights :-(
My auto TT was converted to a manual with no booster. I have been driving it for 7 years like this and it has a twin plate clutch. It is a bit heavy but I'm used to it. I don't mind it at all!
I disconnected mine and found using my HKS Triple Plate much, much nicer ... the Booster robs you any "feel".
I've got an NA manual kit here I'm going to be chucking on, but with the F1 stage 3 TT clutch I'm thinking that the booster will be a necessity. So, hopefully this isn't seen as a hijack, but does anyone know what is needed to put a TT clutch booster on an NA manual clutch? Would I simply be needing the booster mechanism and the vacuum lines?
