http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3B55ogIMWU&feature=related Just ran into this, thought some might be interested. Shame they're only pushing 10 PSI. MoulaZX
Its hard to tell on videos like that, but it doesnt look very impressive to me, 530 at the wheels my arse
Don't you just tell the dyno operator in the US what power you'd like & he'll set the dyno to bring a smile to your dial? Nice 370, I wouldn't say no to it. Sounds very raspy, not sure if I like the sound or not.
nice, but wasnt impressed with the way the boost keeps spiking to 12-13psi before settling back at 10psi......
AFAIK, Stock vs Stock they are pretty even... Which is pretty impressive IMHO due to the 370z's NA engine (even if it is a little bigger) The advantage of the 300zx is that it is easier to get more power out of a japanese-made forced engine from that era. At the time, jap cars were made to be insane and then down-tuned to comply with the 'gentleman's agreement'. A 300zx has many restrictive systems in place which can be easily and cheaply improved (air-filter, exhaust, boost level, fuel injectors) these few mods (totalling a couple of grand in parts) can give you an extra 100HP... $2000 on an engine which is already pushing it's limits will give you far less... The 300zx would also be illegal as a 'new car' these days due to emissions...
Still only "even" to it's predecessor with 20 years of decay and issues. Not to mention what you could do to a z32 with $60,000+ worth of saved $$.
