Okay, I picked up my interior from the group buy today, and the quality is pretty damn good. Anyways, wondering about good interior reupholsters in Perth (preferably northern suburbs), don't want to do the work myself, and have some special jobs that I want to get done, so need someone that does extremely good job, at a reasonable price (Obviously not for cheap, but don't want places that charge exorbitantly). Anyone have any past experience with good ones? Anyone have any past experience with bad ones? (don't want to go the wrong places haha) Thanks Travis

started mine yesterday, does not seem that bad, just time consuming, Important thing to remember doing it yourself. take your time, stop if things are not working out. Dont try to do it in a day as it is not going to happen. sit on your back verandah or front lawn with a beer and enjoy the moment. There is no rush, if you take your time you will get a better job and the best part is you dont have to cook the dinner or watch the kids.
I got one too Im thinking of going to clark rubber and getting a few sheets of high density foam/rubber (similar to the type used to make those spongy mouse pads) 2-4 millimeters thick and put that on the panels before the leathero change the feel of the panels, am worried about the heat as the foam might insulate the inside of the car heaps better and make it damn hot in summer? anyone done this or contemplated it?
Is anyone using any particular brands of reupholstery glue, or any special tools other than the chair one? Some of the jobs I can do myself, but I need to get some of the vinyl redone and the dash has lifted. May look into using a different material like Suede or maybe even a different colour leather. Maybe red to match stitching on black parts. Also I want to cover all the boot sections with something, I don't like the plastic (and two pieces have been scratched by my amp).
Selleys Kwik Grip holds well and is widely used as interior glue. I used it a year ago in some trouble places and the trim hasn't come off yet.
Today I did the piece to the left of the glovebox, and the glovebox itself. I think that piece to the left has got to be the worst piece to get out. Fullstop. You have to rip half the dash out! I will be doing this for people if they want me to. PM me for price. Anyway, here's the end results of these two:
Edit: I am offering a one-stop drive-in/drive out service for anyone in WA. I will put your trims (and maybe also the seats) onto an interior I have here, and then in a week or so bring your car and we can just take out your existing trims and put the newly covered ones in. I then keep your old trim and do the same for the next person. Not free of course. PM me for details.
