If you wanna come have a look at it feel free mate. Going to put her back up on the ramps now where she'll likely stay all weekend. And yeah don't think it's water - aftermarket cooler and rad, so it's not That .
Took it past an auto transmission specialist today. He didn't open the box but he took it for a drive. His opinion was that even if it was just something wrong with the valve body originally, it's now stuffed the clutch plates in the box and it'd need a rebuild.
go manual andrew, you know you want to. also apart from the bad timing and unwanted expense it would be good to dump that hi stall.
If I stay auto I'll be keeping the shift kit that's for sure. Probably won't change the transmission over to manual at the moment, but I'll need to source a new vq box.
thats gay, as if he would tell you otherwise bloody mechs my eng is making a noise yeppp u need a rebuild buddy
Shift kit is awesome dude. Built by Pmack! I totally forgot how spongy the stock gear changes are... Got my bunky Z at the moment changin gears with a 2 second delay lol... Well, so it feels...
If you hit road debris and it rooted your auto. Thats an insurance claim IF you have comprehensive insurance.
my dad has a garage that builds transmissions auto and manual, he said if the oil is burnt your clutches are burnt out if its a muddy dark colour, if its a caramel colour its had water contamination, valve body is quite hard to damage from the outside and the electrical parts are just solenoids, any damage to the valve body will be inside if the clutch packs are breaking up they can get stuck in the valve body.
