Alright guys.. today when i was at work and went to work on my car in my lunch break.. i decided to turn the car on.. now.. the car basically turned on fine.. and idled fine. I went to rev it a bit and when it hit 2,500rpm it wouldnt go any further? and i had my foot flat on the pedal.. I would let go.. and rev it again and wouldnt go past 2,500rpm..

The only thing that has been done to it since anything.. was adding fuel to it as the fuel was stall and was idling and on verge of conking out.. So could my problem be that its sucking up the stall fuel at the moment and will operate fine if i change the fuel filter and put a full tank of new fuel? Or is there something else which is going wrong?

    Hope you's can help.

Check the plug to your AFM, it will cause your engine not to go past 2500 if it's disconnected.

Ok since the afm thing has been fixed it goes past 2,500rpm.. now its starting to idle a bit rough and nearly is about to die.. fuel is pretty low.. and im getting to the point that it could be something fuel related.. you can flat foot the accelerator on idle and it will rev up to a random rpm and then drop down when foot is flat down.. but when you pump the accelerator on and off.. it goes up 1,000rpm each time i do it till redlining.. so does that mean the fuel isn't getting pumped fuel the filter/lines properly? or could it be electrical related?

    Fuel Regulator or Fuel Dampner.

Definitely that you reckon or? Also is the fuel tank in the boot? if so how do you access it, as i want to clean it out?

Reg and dampener are on top of the engine.

To access the fuel tank/pump there is a hatch under the spare wheel in a 2+2. In a 2+0 it's under the rear parcel shelf thing.

Cheers mate, read that other thread vader made regarding removing fuel.. and i was looking in my boot then and was thinking that theirs no fuel tank under there (have a 2+0). So yeah will look into these and see if that fixes the problem.

ohh another thing.. it has 2 spaces to open up into the fuel tank.. is the pump just to the drivers side of the tank, or which port into the tank is it in? IF its not in the tank.. then i can simply just open both the ports up, and drain the tank out, clean it out without touching the fuel pump?

Fuel pump is under the left hand cover. On a 2+0 they have 2 drain bungs in the bottom of the tank, if you just want to clean it out, remove these 2 bungs and drain it. It is a good idea to clean/replace the pick up screen on the pump assembly so removong it is the best bet.

Having said that, I doubt it is the problem. How much fuel is in it? If it is low, go and get another 20ltrs and top it up before you start pulling it apart.
