Do you use your A/C a lot, and has it been humid? Also, have you washed the car a lot, or recently? If so, you might have a blocked drain hose for the A/C in under the dash on the passenger side. When you use A/C, the evaporator core inside the heater box cools down the air, and in the process, any moisture in the air condenses and forms liquid (water) inside the heater box. This water normally drains out through a pipe from the bottom of the heater box in behind the glovebox out to the engine bay and drops on the ground in the vicinity of the passenger side turbo. If this rubber pipe is blocked, the water will overflow into the heater + a/c vents, and leak onto the carpet. This has happened to me, and the first I noticed was a wierd noise from the A/C fan only when turning corners - a bit like a whirring noise which only happened when turning corners. It turned out what it was, was the water in the bottom of the heater box sloshing over to the heater/vent fan and hitting the spinnning blades, causing the noise. I unblocked the drain hose by taking out the glovebox, removing a panel on the front of the heater box (then it was obvious that it had water in it), then pushing a cable tie through the rubber hose to clear it. Problem solved. I reckon I had got a fair bit of water into the air vents in front of the windscren too, when I washed the car just prior to this happening.

    could be

Could be the drain holes for the targas, I think they have hoses that drain the water, if one of these is blocked or missing then water will end up inside.

I have a similar problem with my zed, noticed a pool starting on the passenger floor when using aircon. Turns out there is no pipe taking it out of the car so it is just dripping on the floor :\

I found the problem.... Dirt bastard seal under windscreen has come loose with the heat and all the rain water is dripping straight into the passenger side floor.. I took the gromet out recentely so the water should drain out from under the car. Im getting the seal fixed hopefully tomorrow.. So im not bothering with heater core coz its bypassed and that whirr sound wasnt the whirr i thought it was its something else.. I smashed the car with the hose and noticed water near the front of the passenger seat which led me to check seals. Its a good idea for everyone who wasnt changed their windscreen seals in their z to do them when they got the chance to prevent their beloved baby from becoming flooded. Thanks for the help guys :)

Hi Lambo, it could be leaking from your heater core radiator located behind radio? I have same problem - slow leak! But was quoted 8 hours labour to pull apart whole dash.
    Goodluck

Unfortunatley we live in a very severe weather country. Heat and sunlight destroy rubber and paint. Park your car in the shed or shade as much as possible. Otherwise your seals will shrink and crack ,dash will buckle, paint will fade, ect ect ect ! Mother nature is cruel on our cars.....bitch ! ha ha ! paul
