Thought I'd post this up as the car is still there. Black Z32 on the calder just after the Macedon exit towards gisborne. Noticed it there Wednesday morning and workmate just drove past there and said it's still sitting there. Anyone from here?
Was hoping it's someone one here, but nobody at the car when I went past. Yeah either theories sounds possible.
The zed is still there. Workmates are informing me that each time they go past someone has pinched some part off it.
I heard about this Z a week ago from my uncle...said he had seen it there a couple times in the week before then so it's been sitting there a good while now. Meant to post up about it as well but completely forgot...doh! Cheers, Craig
Ross, On the way back from the BBQ, I grabbed some details off the car and did a VicRoads Status Check. Curiously, the car isn't even listed as stolen! Here's my guess. Breakdown or failed breath test. Car nearly out of rego. Owner couldn't afford tow / repair. Abandoned. Vehicle Status Checks : Results 6/11/2010 Vehicle Registration: UNB195 Registration Status: CURRENT UNTIL 29/11/2010 VIN/Chassis Number: 6T91MPV97L2BSH001 Written-Off Status: NOT-WRITTEN-OFF Engine Number: VG30777161P Encumbrance Status: NO-ENCUMBRANCE Vehicle Make: NISSAN Stolen Status: NOT-STOLEN Vehicle Colour: BLACK Body Type: COUPE Year of Manufacture: 1990 Here are a few pics: Rego sticker Z emblem missing Driver side mirror broken, indicators (probably clear lense) stripped Rear (my car in the top right of the shot) Interior with centre console and stereo torn out Boot. 2 holes (obscured by passenger seat) used to house 2 subwoofers. Front right wheel is stock while the other 3 wheels are aftermarket! This car won't look like this by the end of next week
I saw this yesterday and noticed the mirror and indicator stolen. I didnt think much of it as there were two other cars parked further up and I could see what I thought was water just through the scrub so though people might be yabbying or something. My guess its been stolen, stereo stripped and dumped. I couldnt imagine the calder out that way being too busy at the early hours of the morning. Hope the owner is found
Thanks for the update Cliff. Dam that car was spotless when it first broken down on Wednesday a couple weeks ago. Can't believe someone would break the mirror off like that and pinch the blinkers. Would love to catch this pricks that think it's fun to destroy other people's property. It doesn't take long for some troll to appear. When my supra engine passed away, I was sitting in the car waiting for my dad to show up (10pm at night). Few hours later a car pulled up. I switched the interior light on to get out, only to see them quickly speed off! I might give the seller a call to see what the go is.
See on car sales the owner lives at Ballingarook ? which on google maps is not far from Gisbourne. Wierd to leave a car like that at the side of a road.
Good spot on the carsales ad. Bloody scabs have ruined it judging by the original photos. Poor owner. I looked a bit suspicious pulling over next to it yesterday. Especially with a car full of screwdrivers, spanners, sockets etc (for Ross' tech day). I assure you that the only thing I took was photos.
