Their terminal layout for the relay makes it quite difficult to properly read that diagram. Will draw and scan one for you, unless somebody beats me to it.

LOL Just thinking the same thing. A proper drawing of a DPDT (with pin numbers) will make this much easier for our friend to understand. Autospeed clearly failed symbols 101.

    Too late tonight though.....zzzzzz

So the two coil pins...one to power and the other to the reed switch...right?

I presume the other power line goes to the last pin marked red?

the pins are set up like this

considering you are installing something that will potentially render your car inoperable if it fails, which will be especially hard to bypass in the event of a failure (you will want to go to the trouble of concealing and wiring it so that it looks oem, hence not drawing any attention to harness modification), I can only suggest that unless you are 100% confident about wiring this, it might pay to not do so.

For a little extra $$ than what you will spend on components and tools to do this yourself, you could invest in a ZID. Have the confidence of a tried and tested immobiliser, designed specifically for the 300zx, with multiple isolation points, rather than the singular that this design permits.

Any other queries however, feel free to PM, and will gladly advise how to wire this in a little more private arena :)

ps- DO NOT use the supercheap, repco etc climpers for your connectors. Invest in a decent set of RATCHET CRIMPERS from Jaycar. You will no doubt have use for them again.

what OZX_320 said, the 'immobiliser' you are planning to install would be so easy to bypass it may as well not be installed... multi point ftw

Technically correct but you have no idea about the method of installation which is the key to security. I will elaborate in public but have installed devices in a Zeds, and other vehicles, and had commercial Alarm Installers comment on the ingenuity of install method employed.

Common multi-point alarms, required by many insurance companies, deter casual thieves and joy-riders but are easily bypassed by professionals. A ZID-like device greatly enhances a proprietary immobiliser's security.

    Welcome back Rob..
OK OK will go with the Zid...just gotta stop buying other little things that I reeeealy need!!! like stainless laser-cut dress-ups from Felix!!
I actually have an alarm,door-locking multipoint immobilizer but instructions are in chinee english if you know what i mean....took one look at the harness and gave up lol!!...

Actually saying I have no idea on the installation is a bit harsh..the installation is quite simple and the reason for going this way.. ensuring the power source is correct on one relay is about two +tive wires..hardly a major issue. methinks

ZID, from all reports is definitely the way to go. Designed by a zed enthusiast, specifically for the vehicle. Cant speak from experience, as i dont have one, and Marc is understandably secretive about how it works, unless you have one, which is the unique beauty of it.
Combination alarm- remote central locking unit isnt that hard to install, with the trickies part being getting the additional wires for the master locking solenoid through the drivers door rubber tubing. You will only require the 1 master solenoid (4-wire) in your drivers door. Beyond that, it will work to incorporate the existing OEM central locking.
Recall that the ZID also works in conjunction with an alarm system, so you can have the ZID immobilisations alone, or combine it with your alarm immobilisation, to really throw any potential thieves a curve ball.

Let me know if you want a ZID Grumpy,

They are made on request but I have to make up another small batch of them anyway. That reminds me, I promised one to heavytrevy and red turtle
