Hi all, just letting every one know that my 1989 twin turbo 2+2 was stolen on friday night/ saturday morning from Moorepark in Sydney.It was last seen as it did a runner at a service station at Sydenham some time saturday morning . It is black with aftermarket front bar ,ferrari taillights, alpine dvd player ,chrome BSA 19" rims, 5 speed, rego. ZGE177 I will try to post some pics tomorrow .any help will be appreciated. we'll keep an eye out for parts but they usually dont end up on the forum for sale.. hopefully just joy riders. insured?
thanks alot but you never know,some one could see people driving a 300zx and offer parts, I hope it does come back in any condition is better than not at all.. cheers... it is strange that all the replys have been from Victoria none at all from NSW let alone Sydney!!
This is what it looks like except it has a small amount of damage on top of the front bar where someone reversed into me when parked. so the front bar will show damage.. John
This is getting beyond a joke isn't it? Mine was stolen just a bit more than a month ago, we got her back with blown headgaskets... My condolences, you must be shattered. More than likely joyriders. According to some copper friends, 80% of stolen cars are recovered. Just make sure you're on the ball with Police reports, contacted your insurance company and informed them. If it isn't found within 2 weeks apparently they'll write it off. Good luck and hope the end result is a satisfactory one.
sorry to hear.. bloody nice car too..for around 600 bucks you can put a tracking device in your zed. will give you accuracy to within 10 mts on google maps..hope you get it back.. cheers eddy
I'll keep an eye out for it dude, and tell my friends. The damaged front bar and chrome wheels ought to do it. On a side note... What are those side skirts? I though they were Bomex, but they're not sunken enough... they're cool! It's now in my interest to find this car... and return it to you without them... "uh yeah, I found the car like that. damn teenagers. they were probably p-platers"
You guys never heard of a decent alarm and immobiliser? considering they drove it away.... i hope you get your car back... but a wheel clamp is $160 at repco... buy one.
Stolen black 300zx now recovered Hi all as it says we now have our 300zx back, I have kept quiet for a while as it was being sorted out. It was first found about a week after it was stolen when my son got a call from the police saying we have found your car , they told him where it was and he said I will be there in 15 minutes please wait and he got there in 12minutes but NO car and no police so he searched and found some police in the area, told them the story and they got on the phone to the police that rang him and told them to get back to where the car was found .My son and the second lot of police met with the original gutless police only to be told that they felt they were being watched so they left but it was alright for my son to arrive at the spot !!!! this was 11.30 at night. You can imagine my son let rip telling them how gutless they were as they both had a gun on one hip and a taser on the other. The second set of police also riped it up their comrades, as it seems they were being watched because when the police left the theives jump back in and pinched it again.. It was one week later when the theives delivered it back around the corner from where it was first pinch so it could be found straight away which is what happened when a detective who was on the case drove past it and knew right away that was it as it had been used for 4 robberies. It then spent a few more day at the police yard while they went over it and did the usual finger print stuff but it is now at home and after all it went through is in not bad nic. .We picked up some bits and Martin Williams was great as he had the rest of the thing we needed and sent them down from Brisbane quick smart so we could have it on the road very soon if we wanted but have deceided to pull it down do a few repairs as it had a little damage give it a respray even though the back looked great it is going to be changed to something a bit different which I will not say now but will definitly post the pics. when it is done .We also have been on to Khalid from exotikleather who is fantastic with his pricing and quick replys and will do anything for you ,he is suppling us with seat covers, trim kit, hand brake cover and boot gear knob and boot all double stiched and suppling 3mt of material so we can do a bit more , when the car gets back on the road it should be PHAT but it does have to wait a while as i do have a couple of jobs ahead of it but we will get a start. For all those who wished us well with the recovery thank you very much and it will be back with a new look.. cheers John
Great news man... usually when the stolen cars are found they're totally ruined so glad to hear yours is just a little worse for wear, nothing a little z love cant fix!:zlove:
Thanks guys ,yea damage not too bad just a lot of work and a bucket load of money and all will be good again!!!!
I'm interested in learning as much about these cars as I can, so if you're ever in need of another set of hands chuck me a PM I'm sure you could find some other Sydney guys that'd give it a go too.
