Does anyone know who rebuilds these around the capalaba area Brisbane?
And are the NA starters the same as the TTs?

Gday, i can source new units to suit TT (Spacer needed to suit NA) if i recall correctly the last one i got was about $260ish id have to confirm but could freight it at probably another $10~20 or so. if your interested ill double check the best price my suppliers can get one for and ill let you know.

Also i could recondition your starter as i am an Auto Electrician although i dont think it would be a really cost effective option as 1. Im in Vic, and 2. After replacing bearings, bushes, brushes, solenoid or contacts and drive ect + my time to do it, the price usually is that close to a new unit its not worth the hassle these days.
Anyway theres something to think about:br:

Why do you need a spacer to suit the NA, the difference is the bell housing. Pinions are the same.

    Good option above.

These guys have been at Creek Rd Mt Gravatt for years, if you walked in with your starter motor in hand I reckon they would sort you out pretty cheap.

Had a few things done there years go, cheap, good and quick.

Hope the same guys, obviously their reputation means something still calling them selves Victoria Point Auto Electricians when they are at Mt Gravatt. For those that don't know Victoria Point is 27+ K's away from Mt Gravatt.

You need about a 3mm spacer to allow a TT starter to fit onto a NA Manual box to allow for the differences in the bellhousing/ Flywheel, Yes pinions are the same, Thats just been from my experiences anyway

You only need a spacer if you are using a NA box with a TT fly/flex plate. Both the NA and TT starter motors are the same part number. The difference is the diameter of the TT ring gear, approx 2mm larger than a NA.
