Can somebody tell me some easy, preferably obvious differences between a plenum from an NA and one from a TT? Picking up one to polish, but unforunately the owner doesn't know which his came off. Compared some engine bay photos, but with throttle body covers, intake hoses, blance pipes, throttle bodies and whatnot (and general stupidity on my part ) getting in the way I'm still unsure. A picture or two would be sweet if possible. Cheers, -A
Apart from the red "TWIN TURBO" badge on the TT Plenum, can't see any visible difference between the 4-odd that I have. Polished plenum on the NA is off a TT motor. Throttle Bodies looked to be the same as well.
Huh. I've always seen plenums for sale with what they were from specified... assumed there was a difference. Cheers.
vacuum bungs There is one on the passenger side rear end of the plunum, on the side. NA has a stopper bung and TT has a fitting with a vac line coming off it. Hope this helps, apart from that I dont remember any other differences. Andy
The difference auto to manual is the balance pipe, the plenums are the same. A TT plenum has a recirc fitting in the passenger side and the fpr vac port fitting a little further back. NA has the fpr vac port where the tt recirc fitting is and the port further back is blanked off. There are no physical differences between the plenums themselves, the difference is the those 2 fittings.
