new belts

    have replaced old belts cannot stop alternator belt screaming at start up

    Have you checked belt deflection as per the workshop manual? If thats okay, I've read on the forums a trick of applying candle wax to inside of belt while running to give the belt grip and stop the noise.

    deflection ok am running navara fan as it was only fan that would fit parts are a hassle in darwin and this is my first zed

    Soap on the belt helps too I hear.

    Get rid of that fan and put a genuine 300zx fan and clutch on there. Order it through conceptzedperformace, you will have it by next this time next week.

    You are complaining of overheating aswell in another thread, soap, candle wax or anything like that doesn't stop the belt slipping, it just shuts up the squeal by giving some lubrication.

    hey i got similar problem i had all my belts replaced last week it did not screech untill today it screeches for a short time now. Why would of that happen.

    screeches = belts loosing grip.

    im fairly sure most new belts will start to slip after week or two due to belts stretching slightly when used. mine did the same, just tightened the belts and all sweet
