The spit on a sunday is gonna be all traffic and no parking.

Mmmm, any suggestions then? I'm sure it wont be too bad, if we head right round the park... It was the only place I could think that has heaps and heaps of parking and nice views of the broad water, you could even bring a fishing rod :D

This is all true, we'll have arrived by 11am if we leave at 10 30. Marine Parade, Main beach, and Surfers is a nightmare on weekends. Back roads ftw! ;) that's the only suggestion I have, keep off the main roads cos the gold coast main roads on Sundays - traffic.

I went to the spit a few sundays ago and it was busy in the main carpark but theres a massive park further down thats almost empty.

Yeah I can understand no one wants to be stuck in traffic, but that's the thing with roads you tend to get traffic on them. I'll extend the cruise out west of Mt Tambourine but I take no responsibility if we all get stuck behind a tractor :p

Your right McLovin that bridge from Southport to main beach and the road that runs past Australia Fair turns into a car park on Sunday afternoons. Ah the perils of shitty Queensland roads! I'll try and figure out an alternate route

Ok so in keeping away from the M1 and changing the route to head out further west before heading up to Mt Tambourine. As it stands the first leg of the Cruise is around the 100km distance which unless we clock an average speed of 100km will take well over an hour. I've updated Gmap link for you all

    Cheers - Biggie

Added Twisties on leg two, we'll take a slight detour through Beechmont, that should satisfy your need for corners!!! :)

This road is not on the cruise route! Are you looking at the right map?

Hey it's forecast for rain this Sunday :( so not sure what you guys want to do. It's probably not the best time to be driving on unknown country roads!

I guess we can go ahead as planned but if the weather turns nasty we can postpone the cruise

Canungra road then, same type of thing.

Google map is wrong! at the top it's showing the other road then jumps back to Canungra but you're right the top of Canungra road is a bit of a squeeze but it gets much better further down, Ive put an alternate route up for you Merci, we'll wait for you at the bottom :)

There is a more northern part that cuts to the motorway that is always used for tamborine.

Ive add this to Gmap but Canungra rd isn't too bad I'm sure Ive been up that road before, there's just a few one lane only spots and a really tight hairpin :)
