ok, I finally got my zed up and running and on the road registered, and in the mean time also got my license soo far im absolute loving the zed great car to drive :zlove: minus the occasional moron that wants to race me in there common whore at the lights here is some pics of the things iv done. before After replaced door card and made up some new speaker pods and cleaned up some of the speaker wire. before after after a good clean up also done engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, power steering boots, on the to do list wheel alignment, auto transmission service, power steering belt and i think thats all the mechanical things done... for now. ok the wallet is slowly starting to recover between road worthy, rego and insurance ect it nearly sent me broke being 17 I cant really say I get paid verry well haha. next is wheels new wheels yeh defiantly new wheels! any suggestions? there are soo may out there what sort of dollars am I looking at? and best size 18s? then the wing goes i don't mind it but some might say it looks ''ricer'' and im not going for that look lol, and the stock one that sits on the hatch looks way better. soo basically after some advice on where to go now.... any info would be great :zlove: ohh and any other P platers where do you put your rear P plate.. iv got it on the back window on the inside but you cant see it well at night.....
I call dibs on the wing when the time comes.... When you want to sell the wing, assuming you can get it off in one piece un damaged... how about I buy a Z toy 2+2 stock fibreglass copy and swap you for yours? pm me if your keen
I put mine here: Black electrical tape on the top, magnet sticking to the metal strip between the bumper and the lights on the bottom. In plain sight so you don't get booked. If you want to be one of those tossers that hides as much of their plate as possible you may as well not even put one there. Hell, if you hide half your plate you can get pulled over for it, if you don't have one there they won't know you need one. Keep the wheels. edit: not trying to be one of those plate-hiding tossers on the front, using it as a splash guard lol
The wing really does suit your zed, im a huge fan. Also black rims on black car *drool*.. so keen to get a set on mine. What part of QLD are you in? if SEQ come to the sunday cruise. more details in the coming events section. cheers, matt
Hehe Anti, your back one is overly visible and your front is a little hidden(so it seems from the sig pic)
Yeah I know lol, the front was just as visable 'til I put the new front/pod on and realized it could serve a purpose heh
thanks for the comments guys, agreed i think i might keep the wing...... cheers tektrader i never new that as for yours the red looks nice rims suit it real well as for the rims they have to go but yehh black on black looks good new rims might have to be black with a chrome lip, something along those lines. anti thats pritty good idea it did cross my mind but people can still take it i dunno about where you live but hear anything on the out side of your car goes missing real quick even being if its a P plate lol. murci black on black looks nice real head turner hey, black rims would look awesome on your zed! as for the cruise i would love to come but im in Mackay if it wasn't such a big drive there i would go, maybe next time if i can get time off work.
Nice looking Zed you've got there mate, but is that what I think it is there, those gorgeous chrome door handles Very nice
cheers ryzan, i see you have a thing from chrome haha nice wheels ohh and the exhaust tips nice! goes well with the red. abdul yehh it will be a little while but ill keep you in mind when the time comes ill shot you a message.
haha thanks but I actually hate the wheels, planning on selling them if my new ones ever arrive. Oh and that exhaust and the tips are stock btw ps. if you ever think about selling those door handles i call first dibs!
pods does any one else have trouble with pod air filters and wet weather my zed sat out in the rain the other night I know I know, I couldn't sleep properly knowing she was out there :zlove:. started it the next morning and it seemed fine as I drove for abit pulling up at a set of lights it started to surge only when idling when driving it was fine had abit of hesitation but nothing serous straight away i knew it was the air filter being right at the front open to a big dirty puddle of water! whats the best way to get it high and dry.
Splash guard. I drove my zed in heavy rain the other day (I know I know, don't worry I gave her a good detail to make up for it) and she ran perfect with the cold air intake with the splash ghuard in place. I wouldn't risk no splash guard though especially with how low my pod is (near the bottom rad intake).
no low beam right side pod as i turn it on to low beam high beam comes straight on tryed flicking the indicator stick back and forth but no luck usally the wheel clicks twice and low beam comes on with the interior speed o gauges ect and then for hight beam you flick the indicator stick. have been tinkering with the switches all i can get is foggies and high beam no low beam and no interior lights
