    Hey all
I have had my auto box pulled and worked on for a problem of suddenly no traction in first and second, it just starts to grip then revs out, ease off and it grips and power on it revs out again, now after the work done on it, it only seems to do it after resting for a while, like when its cold/warm. I have S.A.W. so i can select any gear. 3rd and 4th are fine as is the lock.
when the box was out and in bits the belt had worn off the lining to the metal and the rivets scored the drum (its more like a steel strap that grips the drum therefore selecting 2nd or 4th) all the clutch plates were in remarkable condition and the tech said the rest of the box was good and the belt was the problem. We replaced the drum which was badly scored and a new belt fitted. The changes are as fast and slammy as before but so is the slippage but only when its cold/warm when it has heated up it holds both gears fine even at 15lb boost full throttle I can make it kick the rear end out going 1st to second. I am puzzled but prior to going over to see the company that worked on it, and charged me $930 for the pleasure, I would like to be armed with more info on what could be happening. My thoughts are perhaps it is the torque converter draining but not filling up again until its hot ??

If your brake band was shot and it was just rebuilt.. Who ever rebuilt it failed to adjust the band correctly..sounds also like your servo piston may have a seal problem.. Keep in mind all of the debris that went into your trans when the band was shredded ..
But, the real problem is pressure which could be your valve body...
