Oh dear, I'll give the track a call as it conflicts with their calendar. Standby.

Here is their calendar. It appears that it has been a stuff up in the planning stage.
May I suggest that we change the date for the hard run to the 25th of Sept. It is not ideal for me personally, but I might make a show for support. Or is there another day that is better suited?

    Isn't that Grand Final Day?

pfft who follows football? I say grand final of what?? And, if you miss it I am sure there might be a little in the paper the next day, or on the TV. It is not like the media is saturated by football.
Football; Grown men being paid more than most higher degree professionals to only work weekends chasing a balloon wrapped in leather to put it between flag poles at the each end of a paddock.

In which other sport do you get consolation points for missing the goal?

I'm good for either date I think.

Football is a fine game, that is all it is a game no different to other playground games, enjoyable yes but not worthy its status. I get a bit over the whole thing being ramped up as it is the only thing in the world.

Bugger!!! I'm supposed to be in Sydney on the 17th for a Christmas in July with friends. Another drive holiday in the Zed....... Adelaide to Shepparton to see my sis for a few days, then onto Sydney for the gathering, back to Shep for another night or two, Berri for the Berri open 8 ball knockout and then back to Adelaide.

Tossing up now whether to leave Sydney out of the loop and make the track day instead.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Maybe stick with the trip, i couldnt imagine the frustration there will be should you break the zed prior to the holiday...what will you drive than...

    Suckup :p

    I thought you were a GayFL supporter...Rugby or nothing i say. QLDER!!!

So, where is everyone sourcing there helmets from?

I read fleabay was mentioned, but what is a better brand to aim for should this helmet be kept for a long while. eg, for rallying and occasional motor cycle riding?

If you break your Zed at the 50% track day maybe you shouldn't be going on the trip. As the aim is really no more than a spirited drive. We should be aimat proving you car is good to run, identinfying weaknesses, easing into a trackday for the first time, and developing good lines.

This is a terribly good site.

Never heard of them before but they seem pretty well stocked in anything racing wise. Be good for the upcoming rally car.

    Thanks for the linky.

Too bad its an hour away...grrr[TIS]

Just need a quick show of hand for those who think the 25 Sep or it might have to be later in the year.
As it is I think no one is keen on the 25 sep, myself included.
The important thing here is that there needs to be time between the 50% track day and the full power so that those who realise there car has issues, can fit bigger brake packages, additional turbos, new undies, etc.

So unless any one gets up set I am going to suggest the 23 Oct.

Dear Mods, Can we please have the title changed?
