A track day and a road trip, what's not to be interested in? Keep me informed on this one, unfortunately I won't be there this weekend.

Build it an they will come. Or, organise it and they will come. Looks like we might have to start organising beds and a party. Being on Saturday means that we can hit the track all day and then the turps that night, and not worry about being 100% the next day.

Maybe a pool party at the Diesel Dave palace. Chris Scha-slappy are you in for this noting you have just joined the 300zx forum......I know you are reading this.

    hmmm interesting

Sounds pretty good to me Dave. I want to give Mallala a try... I'm not sure about the dates yet, but I'll see what the calendar (and the minister for finance) says...
As far as a pool party goes...? Well, history will always show that I was more than willing........

track day would be interesting... but my Zed not really suit to track because of the paint job. If u guys dont mind, I want to bring my Starlet GT... lol

There is a first a paint job preventing a track day. Starlet is fine, but why is the paint job not up for the day?

Guys - there is a state level open motorsport weekend on 21-22 August (Round 3 of SA State Champs) that I am already entered for in my Marque Sports car - so I may as well take the extra day off and come over on Thursday and join you for the track day .... should have the new engine in the car by then (aiming for 480-520hp at the flywheel - in a 980kg car - performance should be "sparkling"). Not a Zed I know, but will be interesting in any event !!

That would be great if you could make it Rob. Really need Dave to confirm if it is the Friday or the Saturday that the track day is on.

Cannot be Sat as it is a 2-day race meeting for SA State Champs on Aug 21/22 - have just chekced the entry paperwork .... has to be the Friday. Note that the Mallala website says Sat 20th ... 20th is a Friday ... Can Dave give Clem Smith a call and clarify this for us as it is certainly confusing ...

looking forward to this, just got a new helmet and made a bracket for the fire extinguisher. Got a spare bracket if anyone needs it.

if any cracks on the paintwork, that could probably cost the same as a 100k service to touch up...

I would be more confident to track with starlet...lol...lower maintenance and cheaper on tyres.
