Hi guys, have finally got the beast back together with all new wiseco pistons, eagle rods, etc etc .Now running disco potatoes 5 bolt from s15 with 555cc injectors. It over fuelling & I don't know about tuning this & can't get my laptop to hook up,well it does but as soon as the engine is started the software freezes.Who can or how can i reduce the fuel input as its very smokey:help:
You need to get another chip written to suit the larger injectors, pm Karl (90TTZ), he can do this for you. In the meatime, if you can get your software to work, remove 15% (max allowed) fuel using consult.
Is the chip even for a zed with 555's and big turbo's? If not then you might as well chuck it in the bin. To retune the stock ecu you need to use Nistune, or get a chip burner and do a lot of reading.
get nistune dude dont mess around with ebay chips. then take it to the tuners you will save money in the long run
Connect to the software AFTER the car is started. The voltage drop from cranking the car will cause errors. Who did the engine? Is it black smoke? Throw it on the dyno, to check Air fuel ratios.
its blue smoke & smells like fuel.I do have an adjustable pressure regulator with gauge but havent fitted it yet.Probably fit it today & see if I can get the software working. If so,. I'll get nistune
no ,i bought a marobi?? chip ages ago & its still in there.Looks like all my trouble is tuning & chip to suit the injectors.
Give glenmore motors a try they have all the stuff to tune the z's there and they have a dyno as well.
PLEASE DON'T go to Glenmore motors. I'd rather take my car to Ultratune than them and everyone knows what 'quality' work utratune does
HA ultra tune where they wipe ya filters and put it back out the front! no thanks, and i dont see ultra tune building boosted and na cars and tuning them on a dyno must be great doing 50 services a day? Glenmore motors do a very professional job, dynamics will probably be ok as well but i know glenmore motors have done work on some zd's there so just thought id let you know
Yer I wouldn't go glenmore motors.. DC motors will work on you Z for ~ $65 an hour! The guy there loves to do it though and does a nice job.
$65 an hour isn't bad for a local mechanic who likes to work on a Zed. NEver looked at DC's though as every time I've been there the service department guys act like huge c**ks. As for ultratune there is no chance in hell that I would ever take my car to them, was just using them as a comparison. If you want to take your car to glenmore motors though, then good luck to you
Old mate henry goes there Ryan. He tells me about it every time i catch a cab (-_-') What are you doing these days... Come get me and we will go over to see cassia and pretend we know what we are doing?
i know a fair few bloke who use glenmore motors and they are happy, give me an example as to why u wouldnt use them?
