Ok just about to go get the car blueslipped finally after 5 years...car is rearing and ready to go when over the past week i have been running it at idle and noticed a fair bit of water dripping out from a tiny hole in the rear of the exhaust. there is a little bit of smoke as well but not much. I dont think its condensation as it is parked in a garage where its warm and it has not done this for the past 2 months i have been working on it when i start it up only the past week has this happened. there seems to be a little bit of soot in the water dripping out. I can smell a little bit of coolant as well. Does anyone know what this could be?

    Update

    Ok, update

Ran the car for 10 minutes on idle temp gauge was about half way slightly under and did not go up. did not rev it just let it idle

No more smoke just alot of water still dripping and the exhaust has a good deal of water sitting in the tip as well.......in the 10 mintues i would say about 50mills came out

Have you checked your radiator for any emulsified oil? Does the water/steam coming out of the tailpipe smell sweet?

It takes more than a few minutes for the exhaust to get hot enough to evaporate all the moisture that has accumlated in there. Most exhausts will spit out water as it heats up. The moisture condenses in the exhaust as it cools down after the engine is shut off

Probably just condensation :) Mine shot out a heap of watery stuff when ever I start mine as I leave it sit for ages between starts.

I would agree with the idea of it just being condensation.. unless you are only using water in the system you would smell the coolant burning off and it would a very white cloud of smoke

Did you check if any water in oil, if water is getting into combustion chamber it will blow it out the exhaust and preform quite well ( like water injection ) had similar thing years ago and it turned out to be a warped head.MY ZED is outside all the time and very little water comes out the exhaust.Hope it all turns out ok
