Hello! Just wanted to make sure that everyone outside of the US forums was included in this. What started as a search for what the community thought I should sway towards in my custom gauge creation became some sought after designs of custom gauge faces.

Obviously, the gauges I can create easily are USDM spec, however, I recently purchased a JDM cluster from a 1990 and will be working to create gauges for all clusters, JDM 90-93, and 94-96, as well as USDM 90-93, and 94-96.

Currently, I have all gauges produced for a 94-96 USDM cluster as those were removed from my personal cluster for recreation. I also have obtained and am in the process of creating 90-93 USDM gauge faces.

From my JDM cluster I was also able to obtain a KMH speedo, as well as a kg/cm2 oil pressure gauge. The only thing I need form a JDM cluster is a boost pressure gauge. I am sure that the tick marks are the same, but would like to ensure they fit on the light spreader correctly, so if anyone can send me a high res photograph, or scan, it would help me out in creating this and making it available to those with JDM clusters as well.

EDIT: I do not know much about the JDM clusters, and if they differ from 90-93 as well as 94-96 like the USDM ones do, but the speedo, tach, fuel, coolant, and oil press gauges I have currently are out of a 1990 JDM speed. IF there is a difference between 93 and 94, I will also need photos of these as well to recreate.

I frequent 300zxclub.com and post all updates for my styles there. This is also the forum I am on the most, so if you have any ideas, questions, or comments, it would be the best place to contact me, outside of personal email.

Check out the thread. It has generated a lot of interest from those in the US, and I am sure once I get my JDM gauges created, it will allow me to help you get rid of the faded flat black with dull white numbering.

I currently have a 7400 drawn up, simply because that is generally the raised redline you get from tunes here in the US. I've got no problems making a 7500 though.

    @300zxc- Thanks! So am I!

I came to this forum to put up a few samples of gauge face sets I had created for personal use in my 300zx. Though I got a good response for my original reason and question of which of the designs people overall thought were the best, the majority response was more to inquire when they would be available for purchase, how much they would run, and other production questions.

I originally posted with the intention of making a one-off set for my personal Z32, but did not take into account the high demand for aftermarket gauges to replace the tired, faded stock black gauges. I have since decided to put these into production.

The date for sale is still undetermined as I have not yet printed out a full set for personal testing. My test will include (and correct before sale) any fitment issues, check for even light distribution and amount of light that passes through the gauge face. I currently own the DualZ32 LED cluster kit, but am planning to do some custom work which will yield much brighter lighting than even his kit. Tests will be done with one or the other of the kits, at this time I am unsure. If I can get my kit to fit correctly, testing will be done with that, and will also be offered at an additional rate. I no longer have stock bulbs, but if the community is interested, and someone feels like donating bulbs to me for testing, I will more than gladly pay for shipping and use them for a test. The gauge will take into account stock lighting placement and be able to reproduce the light spread. Since the gauges are still not tested for light pass through capability, they will either be offered in one or both of the following, and will be stated at the time of sale. The gauge faces may lie directly over the OEM gauge face though this may impair the pass through capability of lighting, or the OEM gauge face may have to be removed altogether.

The gauges currently have 9 themes which will be depicted below. I will sell full stock sets (160mph/7000k redline) at a set price. Custom sets will also be available. Additional charges will occur for custom redlines, and the 200mph/300km/h gauge faces. Those purchasing the 200mph and 300km/h gauges will also need adjustment of the speedometer housing to account for the tighter tick marks and higher end point.

All sets will come with Coolant, Fuel Level, Speedometer, Tachometer, Oil Pressure, and Boost Pressure (for TT models).

Personal customization can feature different fonting (provided either in file or link format by the requester), custom backgrounds, custom redlines or custom icons. I will only be producing 160mph, 200mph and 300km/h speedometers unless I see a high demand for others. If you want a 180mph speedometer, at this point, it is best to just go with the 200mph speedometer.

I will also offer a custom kit utilizing the NA speedometer, tachometer, and a custom fuel gauge used in place of the oil pressure gauge from a 1990 JDM cluster. This kit will be used in my personal Z to allow housing of dual 60mm gauges in place of the OEM fuel level and coolant gauges. This kit will obviously cost less than a full kit because it will not include the Coolant, Boost Pressure, or Fuel Level gauge replacements. If one would like to keep the OEM boost gauge, I can include the TT Speedometer and customized boost gauge at an additional cost to the custom kit.

I currently have the ability to create custom sets for 90-93 USDM NA and TT models, 94-96 USDM NA and TT models and a 1990 JDM NA (I am unsure what years differed with gauge clusters for JDM.) In the future, I plan to create faces for any year(s) I currently can not produce.

Questions which have arisen in my old thread
Yes, they are inserts. Depending on my findings once I test fit all gauges in my personal cluster it will determine whether they can be used as overlays to the OEM gauge faces, or the OEM gauge faces need to be removed and replaced.

If you have completed the LED mod it will not affect the ability to use these gauges. If there is an effect, it will actually create brighter lighting just as you see compared to stock bulbs.

I would like to get the sets I have created thus far and planned sets created and perfected before I start handling custom requests that are far off. If someone wants different colors or a custom redline, I can create them with a little additional turn around time. I also do not plan to halt production on these once I begin unless something out of my hands happens at which time, if someone is interested, I will turn over all production information and rights.

The odometer in the USDM cluster had a large, side mounted motor. This gets in the way of the right 60mm gauge and doesn't allow it to seat. If you can find some super shallow gauges, you might be able to pull it off, but mine are ~2.5in deep and it still hits the motor.

The JDM odometer is mounted on the underside of the odometer, and is out of the way. You do have to trim some of the light pillars down, one of them being the low fuel light, but thats alright because you'd relocate the fuel to the oil pressure location. You do this by taking the sending wires coming from the gas tank, and re-routing them to the sending wires coming from the oil pressure. Both the gas tank needle and the oil pressure needle are said to have the same sweep.
Here is a picture depicting what I stated above about the differences between USDM and JDM odometers and their motor placement.

Any additional questions on the gauge faces, custom work, or anything else for that matter can be placed either within this thread, or through PM. All inquiries on pricing are unable to be answered at this point as I am unsure of production costs.

Thank you for looking, please leave any input or thoughts within.

Large KM/H only speedometer. Goes up to 320km/h!

    Estimated Pricing:

At this point, expected pricing will follow the pricing stated below.
These are rough estimates and definite pricing will be established in the sale ad, and within this thread once I am positive.

The gauge face sets in their OEM form (160mph, 7k redline, coolant, fuel level, boost and oil press) are set to be around $120 shipped to the lower 48. International pricing will be priced additionally, and stated to the buyer before processing the purchase. This is the same pricing charged by Coz for the titanium face gauges, minus shipping.

The 320km/h and 200mph gauges will be offered at an additional $95 when purchased with the set, or $125 purchased separately, an extremely competitive priced with the used faces for the 300km/h currently available.

Custom redline gauges will be available for an additional $15.

Custom fonting and backgrounds will be a beforehand stated price depending on the level of difficulty producing and correcting light pass through.

Yes. I noticed that right after I posted it. The large KM/H gauge will have a large KM/H text, and no MPH text.
