Shows how carefull you gotta be with other d*ckhead drivers on the road, if i was 2sec's closer to the intersection on the highway at moonee beach "coffsharbour" i'd be gone. A van with a car trailer pulled out into the on comming lane, it got hit side on at 100kmh, threw the van back 50mtrs!! where i would have been in 2 seconds, trailer sliced through my lane like a lawnmower blade. if i had of been there it would have demolished me. i made sure everyone was ok..... be careful zd'rs
That sounds shocking, something like a quiet moment of quality zed time just cruising then thwarted into the worst nightmare i know.
Far out mate. Glad to see you dodged that one. With Easter coming up now we have to be extremely carefull on the roads. Not so much speeding but people falling asleep at the wheel and changing lanes on freeways without looking who is next to them. Experienced it way too often. Interesting that the Slogan 'Speed Kills' is drumed in to everyone. But poor driving skills, no worries :bash: I see it all the time, near misses at <60km/h. But that's OK as long as we are not speeding, falling asleep behind the wheel, changing lanes without a clue, cutting people off intentionally, that is safe. Oh no I got on my soap box again. time to go. Peter
I think the new campaign 'Distracted Drivers are Dangerous Drivers' is great. It could be better though if they included drivers who aren't concentrating or focused on what theyre doing. I swear some people out there drive like they're ironing in front of the TV!
Absolutely agree about Distracted Drivers. I have seen road rail guards been hit on certain streatches of road and for the life of me cannot figure out HOW!! Even on the F3 going down to Sydney or up from Sydney to the Central Coast, people smash into the side banks of the freeway on a STRAIGHT 2-3 LANE ROAD!!!! Oh that's right Speed Kills. I forgot. Distraction & Fatigue is a Killer allright but also, Frustration / Anger is another contributor. For example, being stuck behind someone trying to be a do gooder 40km in a 60 zone or 65 in an 80 Zone leads to frustration and creates excessive speeding to compensate for lost time. Peter
Damn man.. Glad you came out okay that would have been shit scary.. And yeah alot of idiots on the road at this time of year so be careful all. Hope everyone else involved in the accident is okay too, witnesses will have a story to tell tonight. -YakuzaMoon
lol! I don't think some of the people driving out there have enough coordination to iron and watch TV at the same time though.
i agree, and i to have seen some strange collisions into side barriers, and have wondered how the hell did they hit that?? i often travel to brisbane from coffs harbour, i think its the pacific highway aswell.....way to much traffic on it and the state of the highway is well out of date, come holiday times, drivers with fatigue, agression, speeding, then the crashes start. If traveling at night around here, gotta hold onto the steering wheel tight while convoys of B-Doubles think they will fit aswell on a small dual carriageway. A good thing that truckie had a go at Kevin Rudd on sunrise news about the pacific highway a few weeks back.
Wiki Definition: Doesn't include include zombie drivers who have their attention focused on nothing which was my point. It's those who fall into the routine or habit of the drive and dont pay attention to anyone or anything. I used to do it frequently driving Kenmore to Aspley and back every day. I'd end up at or near my destination and suddenly realise where I was and wonder how I got there Thankfully I've changed my driving habits.
I often see your Zed in the Moonee beach Shopping Plaza carpark. Very nice example. I know that exact intersection, So many crashes around here lately.
Yeah thats my car. I only live up the road. I suppose i should just walk to the shops haha, but love to drive the car to much lol. do you drive a Zx? Maby i know you
