    Hi,

Wondering if someone can offer some insight into an issue I am having? I will try to describe it as much as possible for me who is not too technically minded......

    1. When starting the car in the working it runs a little rough until warmed up.
    2. Once warmed up there is an intermittent issue with drive power delivery, it sometimes looses drive power at erratic times.
    3. I thought it may be the turbos, but the power loss occurs well below the turbo power at 3000rpm. I can loose power in low revs and also higher when the turbos are running. The power loss is only for a few second. Foot off the accelerator and then back on and it fixes the problem for a short time.
    4. I can put the power down and both turbos kick in, but sometimes in I loose all drive power in all different gears.
    5. Recently I have also had a problem with loosing electrical power for a few seconds (radio switches off and then on again). This is only short and brief, I am not sure iof htis is related to the same problem.

I have had the car for 8 years and treat it with care and don?t drive it very hard at all, in the whole 8 years I have not had a problem with the car and it has not missed a beat...

I would just like to have an idea of what it could be, and if basic may be able to fix it myself. Just no looking forward to giving it to a mechanic to take me for a ride in regards to $$$$.....

Any ideas would be much appreciated. If you need any more info please let me know ad I will do my best to provide it with my limited technical knowledge.

    89 Z32 TT, Manual, 2 seater.
101,000km (Timing belt changed at 88,000).
Only ever run on Shell Optimax 98.

    Thanks in advance guys.

Sounds electrical. Check the error codes here is the easy way.

Also check all your connectors in the engine bay, mainly coilpack, injector, battery, AFM, CAS, PTU and CTS. Pull them apart, check for condition, clean and retention.

Have a look in the tech section if you need guidance on how to do it.

I'd put money on CAS or Detonation sensors, been there recently myself...
