I took Ben's (Blipman) GTO he brought up to Zedfest at Cowra in 2008. Must say, I was expecting more and totally agree about it feeling heavy and lethargic. I think once you got used to it and got some nice killawasps to the treads it would be a great machine but there is not much in the way of aftermarket performance support for them. Besides, Z looks way cooler :zlove:
lol i remember that. I've always loved the "look" of the GTO, but like everyone here has said, from what i've read they are quite heavy and even more expensive and hard to get parts than the Zed. But i'm sure with some decent mods, it would be a weapon! But just love the shape!!!
GTO vs Zed Photos This is a very interesting post indeed! I had often 'desired' to look closely and possibly purchase a 3000 in the future, BUT... As you have shown here with the side-by-side photos I'm not so convinced anymore the shape just doesn't do it for me like the good ol Zed. Unfortunately I too had considered the weight and suspension/handling as not quite up to the task as mentioned on other places/Internet. The Zed lives on in my life...[TIS]
