    hey guys

im not getting any boost not even 1 so im expecting it could be a open wastegate.

my question is how easy it is to get access to the actuators? as i would like if anything is on the way or the spring is faulty. or even replace these with hks ones.

is it a engine pull job? plenum pull?

also my knowledge about boost systems is very limited

can i temporary fix this problem if i install a manual boost controller?

will this hold boost if the wastegate is open?

my car is running fine its idling right and no smoke is coming out of the exhaust

    cheers

passanger side one is easy to get to. i would be checking for leaks that open up under pressure first tho.

I think it would be more likely that you have a cracked intake pipe, after the turbos somewhere. The pressurised air would just be pissing out.

If one actuator failed completly, then one turbo would still make some boost.

    I agree with Madcow....

A boost leak test should be your first priority.

If you need to access the drivers side actuator, you are in deep sh@t because Harry Houdini couldn't get at it with the engine in the car.

Fitting a manual boost controller (or any BC for that matter) will do absolutely NOTHING. You need to be producing 9psi before a BC can come into operation.

If you throw a WBO2 on it, it's almost certain to be running VERY lean @ idle, and VERY rich @ WOT.

You need to dive into the "tech section" and start doing some homework because there is a process of elimination you need to work through. Once you start working your way through it, you'll be amazed at the number of other problems you'll discover.

    It makes no difference.....

what side your boost leak is on, the whole system will bleed out no matter where the leak is.

As I said peviously, you need to study the "tech section" and learn the basics before you'll have any hope of "problem solving" on a ttzed.

it is possable it could be still be the wastegate. one is stuck open the whole time and it was running on 1 turbo.

its a bit far fetched but you never know.

Check for leaks still first tho.

Open wastegates will still allow the turbos to create some boost.
You either have a leak (as mentioned)
or your exhaust could be blocked (Congealed catalytic converters???)
