hey iam new to the zed so dont no much any way i have problems need some advise with 1. first one is i put a fmic on and replaced a pipe and there was oil in the intercooler piping is that normal was not that much but still got me worried any way is it a turbo seal there is no smoke from the exhsust but the turbo as a slit drip nothn much at oil my mate has a s13 he said to put in a catch can it will be fine wast u guys think. its boosting fine on 7 pounds. 2. i hve lost speedo my steering goes heavy and my hicais light comes on i thought it was my spped sensor it manual so i replaced that with one from the wreckers made it worse now i hve no speedo at all. just need some advise on wat u guys think cheers
9psi is what it should be, 7 is safety boost, a little oil film in the inter-cooler pipes is ok, wet running oil is not ok. Putting a catch can in is a waste of time.
mate iam just after some advice on wats wrong with my zed no need 2 be smart by the way it was on 17psi but i turned it done to 7 because i thought turbo seal was gone alrite.

yeah i probably wouldnt get these boys off side mate... essentially throwin away a bucketload of future information from many users who have seen a hell of a lot.

Welcome aboard Trist. Some of us are a bit cranky with newbies ... but we mean well :zlove:. As others have said, small amount of oil in the intake is OK. The tech section is your first port of call for all things zed. Here's an example for your speedo/power steering issue. Just let us know how you get on.

took the zedo out yeterday put the boost back up to 10psi and ts performing fine what do you get when a turbo seal is gone would it boost ok or not?
Turbo seals usually show up as excessive exhaust smoke however under boost/load almost all zeds will blow some extra smoke. Most times, it is extra fuel as the zeds do run rich fuel maps. If you really had a turbo seal totally GONE, you would know it as would everyone driving behind you. It is extremely noticeable
hahha ok yer my car has no smoke at all its running good boosting nice so i dont think i have much to worry about?
sounds not ... apart from running 18PSI! Do you have an aftermarket ECU/chip and/or bigger injectors? stock fuel system/ecu maps/injectors are overloaded @ those sorts of boost levels resulting in risk of leaning out and detonation:bash:
