Okay, all stock rims on Z32's have a code printed on the outside of the rim, to determine correct placement. As far as I know n/a rims are directional therfore the codes read 40p00 = right front and rear 40p05 = left front and rear All n/a rims are 16" and 7.5" wide, therfore tyre max size is 225/50/16 TT Stock rims also directional have a wider rear wheel. The codes for the fronts are the same as n/a. The codes for the rear are: 40p10 right and 40p15 left. This is because tt's have 8.5" wide rear wheels which will take 245/45/16 tyre. My question is does this only apply to JDM TT's or are Australian delivered TT's the same. If you have 8.5" TT rear stock rims for sale send me a pm Cheers Jason.
Easy answer...... No such thing as Australian Delivered Twin Turbos. We only got N/A cars. http://gtr-registry.com/en-300zx-z32-au.php Cheers, Bob.
What Bob was saying mate is no TT's were sold new in Australia. We only got N/A 2+2's with targa roofs.
even JDM TT have the same 7.5" wheels all round, only the american market cars got the 8.5" rear rims which are hard to find here in aus.
The 16" X 8.5" rear Twin Turbo rims were fitted to US & Euro cars. They are easily identified by reinforcement bars, or strips, running across the width of the rim behind the spokes. If you were to remove a 16" X 7.5" rim with a tyre fitted, then lay it face down on a flat surface, the rim would rock on the face of the rim between the holes for the wheel nuts & the Z centre cap. Do the same thing with an 8.5" TT rim & it will sit on the sidewall of the tyre. The 16" X 7.5" rims fitted on the front of US/Euro Z32's are identical to the JDM/Auspec wheels (front rear).
