Hey Guys,I’m probably gonna cop a lot of shit for this haha but here I go,So I’m thinking about doing an engine swap as I’m off my Ps but I don’t know if I want to do a tt swap or maybe a RB/2J swap,My goal is to push some power but I also want to hear some hektic VL style doses,My question is can the TT motors dose like a RB/2J,I’ve seen clips of 300s dosing even have a couple of mates with 300s who's cars dose but at most you hear a little flutter,Now I know they can shorten the life span of your turbos ect,But let’s just say for research purposes could a VG30 dose like RB/2J ?

You wanna dose, just block off the recirc valves. Whether it reduces turbo life is debatable.

I’ve had a couple of mates who have done that but its a quiet flutter,I want a loud flutter which I don’t know if the 300s can do

All turbos can do it, it's just compressor surge because when you close the throttles air has no where to go but back out of the compressor wheel again making that noise.

You need to remember one thing though. Regardless whether compressor surge kills turbos or not, like I said that is debatable. To change a turbo in a 300ZX is an engine out job.

Probably a bit quieter because of the length of intake piping before the turbo.

Well I heard that it’s quite because of the amount of rubber hose from the turbos ect
