Series 2 PTU Group Buy

Did I just discover something everyone else knew ???

The 300zx Series 2 PTU in the kit is actually the Skyline one !!!

They are pretty cheap too.

 

No waY!

 

Any idea where to get one from and what sort of money are you saving?

Doesn't really surprise me that they are the same as they are simple electronics unit and would be cost effective for Nissan to use it again.

1 off they are about $135

Less for quantity. I found a guy who is importing them. He cross referenced the part number off the S2 PTU that I borrowed from Method.

Then he says to me, Ahh the Skyline import PTU. LMAO

I am gonna get me one.

Can you check the connector price Zrated ??

 

just checked.... looking at approximately $31 for both connectors including crimp contacts and the small rubber insulators that slip over the wire... that's without shipping and without any bulk discount. I'm sure we might be able to get a little better for a large order!

 

OK they are $125 posted to anywhere in Australia. Delivery is 3 weeks.

I will find out about the connectors and also do a diagram of how the wires need to be connected compared to the Stock PTU.

I can use Methods adpator leads to figure this out.

BTW the stock replacement connectors for a series one PTU are $25-30 each.
