That is no small job, lets all get busy with the thanks button for starters.

Rob, at one point Pex was asking for PDFs with the pics embedded before he'd add it to the Tech section.
Is that still a preferred way to go?

Sorry if that sounds n00b but Media sharing methods are changing too fast to keep track of these days.

For others to help it would be handy if there is a "whats missing from the tech section" list.
    ----
Side note, The tech section Tab goes to an unsecured page. As the padlock has a slash through it.

Hey guys I just want to clarify that the sort of help that would be useful would be if people have locally archived (ie saved on your own hard drive) tech articles, that are complete documents with no externally hosted links or images, that they would like to contribute to the tech library.

The updated tech section is currently hosted at a google site (which is secure) - there is a post with a link pinned to the top of this forum. The header/banner menu link needs to be updated but I don't have the necessary permissions to do that; it'll have to wait until Jarryd has a moment.

Problem is that most of these tech articles are so old the pics aren't on the current laptop/PC or even the previous....

The website has already been compromised. I have tried to reach out to the owner, but seem to have been ignored.

More a question of what pic links are missing from the Tech section articles mate.

Here's something we could help Rob with - the FSM / Factory Service Manuals.
You and I exchanged giggles recently about the first draft FSM vs the later ones, how we were cutting out and sticky-taping bits from the later FSMs into our early version printed FSMs.

My first version FSM pdf came from the Forums' Tech Stuff CD around 2010, that FSM pdf is 150 MB.
That might be so bloated because of an old pdf to CD compression format? Dunno.

The 1994 FSM pdf I downloaded a few years ago is 30 MB, the 1996 FSM pdf is 39 MB.
Better algorithms, or less data? Dunno.

How many MB is your version of the first draft FSM, where did you get it from?

That sounds like a YOU problem! :)

Actually, I feel your pain. As well as Tech pics I had Conzult Tuner on a tablet, it died. I sweet talked DTA into a license exemption for the new laptop. It died too.

Now I'm trolling old hard drives for downloaded pics to help rebuild the Tech section.
And desperately seeking the DTA license key... :D

Do you still have those PDFs? I have the 156mb version that you mentioned in the tech files but it would be good to add the later versions

http://www.xenonzcar.com/z32/fsm.php is where I downloaded mine.

I also have a 1992 FSM single file (thus not easy navigation) pdf at 277MB <- high quality scans. Thought I can't remember source

Rob, by now I think you'll have noticed the link that NI85 provided for several FSMs. I downloaded them, I'd love to open old vs new versions and do side by side comparisons for content & scan quality. But time is not my friend lately, would anyone else like to do that job for us please?

No wuckers mate. Quick silly question -
Given the age of these cars and the diminishing supply of OEM parts, would it make sense to have a place to post our findings on which parts are cross-compatible from other Nissans of the era?
